Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce Committees Strategies
Becoming involved in the Chamber
of Commerce is a great way to take advantage of your membership.
There are five committees within the Chamber. Listed is each
of their strategies. Take a few moments to review them and see
which one would be right for you. Give us your time, and you
will receive back a lot more.
Community Promotions Committee
- Coordinate and assist Chamber
sponsored events that promote the Chamber of Commerce and
their members
- Educate the members and community on
business issues
- Be a representative at community events
Public Policy/Economic Development Committee
- Work to build strong
alliances and good communications between elected officials, the staffs of City and Regional governments and the Chamber
of Commerce
- Help to develop programs to ensure the Chamber of Commerce
is the first stop for new businesses coming to Sunnyvale
- Propose support for local public office candidates
- Educate the membership on public legislation which directly impacts the
Sunnyvale business community with special emphasis on
City of Sunnyvale issues
- Develop and propose action on key public policy issues
Finance/Planning Committee
- Assist in providing timely
and accurate financial reports
Provide guidance to address financial anomalies
- Define financial stability and develop a long range plan
to ensure stability
- Provide direct oversight on the financial performance
of the Chamber
Ambassador/Member Services Committee
- The primary focus of the Ambassador Committee is to ensure that new Chamber members have a successful initial experience with the Chamber.
- To perform services of membership development, contact and retention; to promote the Chamber and the Sunnyvale community as a better place to do business; and to serve as official goodwill representatives of the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce.
